Jacques Ancet is author of some fifty books: poems, prose and essays. Moreover, he is French translator of several Spanish and Latin American poets. To translate José Ángel Valente meant to him deepen into the Baroque, mysticism and Buddhism, as well as consider the essence of poetry, which is the word and its transgression, havinga decisive influence on his own work.
