Fabbri’s career as a dramatist, which is characterized by eminently Catholic plays and staging techniques influenced by the plays of Pirandello, did not come into conflict with the severe censorship during Franco's regime. His plays were widely accepted by the public and critics (with a few exceptions). It is important to note that the playwright never accepted that the translations or adaptations of his plays had been allies or adversaries of his success, as only the author’s plays and themes can make him internationally acclaimed.
