This article touches upon the translational possibilities, in Mexico, of one of John Milton’s sonnets. The text presents the historical and poetical context of Milton’s sonnet-writing efforts, as well as an account of the translational strategies used to produce a Spanish version of the piece. The poem will appear in what will hopefully be the first translated Hispano-American edition of the poet’s complete sonnets.Downloads
