This paper addresses the concept of artistic discipline; its contact with other disciplines and what involves applying an interdisciplinary approach. Holds that interdisciplinarity makes it possible the relationship of artistic disciplines with other fields of knowledge such as architecture, urbanism, design, administration, management and history enabling solutions in public contexts.
This interaction and the implementation of appropriate strategies create social and sensitive contents that give art the means to exist within the city. Argues that the presence of art in public spaces generates behaviors, practices, rituals and confrontations that foster a sense of community while shaping the environment. The aim of interdisciplinarity enable citizens to enjoy urban contexts as places to be shared and lived.
