Abstract

This paper presents the synthesis of an academic exercise aimed at the design of the main public spaces around the axis is the connection among the neighborhod of Baró de Viver and Bon Pastor: axis which results of the union of Rambla Ciutat d’Asunción, Carrer Fra Juniper Serra and peripheral areas. This project aims the provision of equipment and vegetation, relocation of parking and retrieval of public space in order to promote pedestrian movement and outdoor enjoyment of the community, aspects that are greatly diminished given the predominance of industrial landscape in the area. In addition, a participatory plan has been developed in order to promote acceptance and empowerment of the community concerning the public space project.
