Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The paper has not been published previously, nor simultaneously sent for evaluation to another journal. If this was the case, it must be explained in the section devoted to comments to the editor.
  • It must be reminded, as we have already mentioned, that the submission file must be saved in Microsoft Word and following the instructions given and the format of the RIDU template.
  • The paper will appear in the language it was sent to the journal (English, Spanish or Catalan).
  • Make sure the text meets the stylistic and bibliographic requirements set out in the "Rules for the autors”, in the "About the journal" site.
  • Make sure that the author or authors have the right or permission to publish all the images, photographs, videos, music ... sent for publication.

Author Guidelines

Authors wishing to submit the publication of a paper will exclusively use the on-line submission option. We remind the authors that to use this option they must have completed the registration process and have the corresponding usernames and password.

The journal has no submission charges and has no precessing charges (APCs).

In addition, submissions to the journal should follow the following criteria and recommendations:

1. Papers should be written in Microsoft Word. They should be saved in a .doc file and use the RIDU template.

2. Papers should be written in any of the following languages: Catalan, Spanish or English. More information on orthography and grammar in the guide of style of the Universitat of Barcelona (https://www.ub.edu/cub/criteris.php).

3. The following items are to be found on the first page:

  • A short but globalizing title, clearly indicative of the content of the paper. This title should be written in the language of the paper and in English.
  • The name of the author or authors of the paper, name of school or institution they belong to, ORCID identifier and the authors e-mail.
  • It can be stated in a footnote on the first page whether the research project has benefited from research funds from a school or other institution, if the research has been presented at a conference, etc.
  • An abstract of maximum 300 words, which clearly reflects the content and results of the research. This abstract should be written in the language of the paper and in English.
  • Keywords: a maximum of six keywords describing the content of the article. They should be written in the language of the paper and English.

4. If the article contains images, each one must be accompanied by the numbered indication "Table #", "Picture #" or "Chart #" in bold characters followed by a colon and the title of the image. (eg Figure 1: Percentage of passes in the period 2015/2019) Every image in the paper should be explicitly referred to in the text. All illustrations, figures and tables must be placed in their place and not at the end of the text.

5. The bibliographical references will be alphabetically listed and according to APA style. Every reference should be mentioned somewhere in the text of the paper.

6. If the references consist in URL, the date of the last time they were used should be noted. The URL must be copied in 10 point characters and underlined. Underlined characters must be only used for URL. In any other case, italics can be used.
