The 19th issue of Cercles. A Journal of Cultural History focuses on the Catalan writer Victor Balaguer, reproducing papers presented at the international conference "History, politics, literature: A hundred and fifty years of History of Catalonia and the Crown of Aragon by Víctor Balaguer." The conference took place on 24 and 25 October 2014 at the Víctor Balaguer Library Museum (Vilanova i la Geltrú) and the Ateneu Barcelonès (Barcelona). The importance of Víctor Balaguer’s life and work was the focus of various specialists in literature and history whose papers have been transcribed and edited here for readers.
