This paper focuses on the phenomenon of the indirect translation in the field of audiovisual translation. After completing the analysis of the problems of translation in the Polish-English-Catalan chain of subtitling of the documentary movie Komeda. A soundtrack for a life, it makes evident that, contrarily to what one might expect, some of the inaccuracies present in the bridge text are not transmitted into the ultimate target text.
