Continuous evaluation (CE) is one of the basic tools that define the student-learning centered teaching. In this paper we deal with the CE impact on the performance of the student using the analyzing process implemented by the TRANSEDU educational research group of the UB. Analyzing different subjects from different degrees (Art and History, History of Art degree; Biochemistry and industrial microbiology, Biotechnology degree; Community development, Pedagogy degree; Mechanical basics, Physics degree; Information and Society, Librarianship degree; Economical politics in Spain, Economy degree; and Instrumental Techniques, degree in Pharmacy) we have identified the elements that conform the CE in the different subjects; we have further elaborated an analytical frame to define the elements facilitating the CE. Once these elements have been identified, we develop a qualitative study of them and an empirical analysis to establish the impact of some of those elements on the academic performance.Downloads
