Abstract

This paper analyses the effect of introducing a continuous evaluation system on students’ expectations and whether it improves students’ performance in Statistics. The study focuses on undergraduate students of the University of Barcelona. The methodology is based on the design of a survey. Students’ expectations are then crossed with personal information and their marks. The results are useful to define key elements that help to improve students’ performance.
