Some aspects about blockchains and smart contracts in higher education

Abstract

The concepts of blockchains and smart contracts at the university offer a sustainable alternative. From this aim, in a first moment, it presents a review of concepts and their connection with the terms bitcoin, ledger, edublock and educoin as well. In a second moment, it shows the social networks based on the technology of blockchains and nowadays how are they linked on the subject of smart contracts and possibilities.

Author Biography

Lucía Amorós Poveda

Amorós-Poveda, L. (02/05/1975). Doctora por la Universidad en 2004. Centrada en el uso e impacto de las nuevas tecnologías, fue miembro y colaboradora en los grupos de investigación de Tecnología Educativa y de Electromagnetismo aplicado, en las facultades de Educación y Química de dicha universidad. En la actualidad es profesora en el Departamento de Didáctica y Organización Escolar al tiempo que investiga el uso e impacto de las tecnologías avanzadas en población vulnerable en aras de favorecer la inclusión social/digital. 

Vinculada a la formación de profesorado ha compartido docencia y/o investigación en las universidades Jaume I de Castellón, UC. San Antonio de Murcia, Instituto Teológico de Murcia, UC. del Maule (Banco Mundial - Chile), Toronto (Canadá) y Murcia. En cine ha sido formada por la FOL 71, de la Liga de la Enseñanza (Mâcon, Francia). Su labor científica continúa en aras de favorecer la calidad y la equidad de la Educación. Su último libro fue publicado en 2017 por la editorial EAE (Saarbrücken, Alemania). A día de hoy, es Senior McLuhan Fellow dentro del Centro McLuhan en Cultura y Tecnología de la Universidad de Toronto.
