Music influence is a determining factor in the integral formation of the individual. It involves different fields and perspectives, among which, compulsory school education, non-formal education, social context, higher education, career development and the relationship between peers. This research analyzes eight life stories of students graduated from a public university in Madrid. The results show that the musical discipline has greater influence on academic performance and socialization in Secondary school, as compared to Primary; it is then when a greater weight of the learned repertoire is appreciated. There is a direct relationship between teacher influence and vocational consolidation, both in turn triggering the choice of graduates from a professional career in the musical field. The conclusions point to the personal, social and academic power of the sound fact didactics, so it is determinant and necessary for the student to have the presence of appropriate educational models in the classrooms and commitment to a well-trained teacher who innovates and motivates their students.
