The article proposes a review of the children’s and young adult literature collections which publish texts by classic authors. The analysis is limited to ten collections in the Catalan sphere. Various aspects of each are discussed, including audience, text edition (adapted or unabridged) and the presence or absence of didactic activities. The article concludes with a reflection on the classic literary canon and its survival in children’s and young adult literature collections.
