Speech by José Eustáquio Romão in the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Paulo Freire’s Honoris Causa Award. Freire was one of the most influential pedagogues of the 20th century. This speech was delivered on October 16, 2018 at the Faculty of Education of the Universitat de Barcelona. It was the first of a series of events held with the aim of celebrating Freire’s work and influence on the current education thinking.
