About the Journal
SEGLE XX, revista catalana d'història, was created in 2008. It is an annual peer-reviewed scientific magazine, published by the Center for Historical Studies of the University of Barcelona. It is open to criticism and theoretical-methodological debate without restrictions, with a particular interest in the historical processes inscribed in the History of the Current World or History of the Present that connect with phenomena that reach the present day. The treatment of these phenomena is approached from the criteria of historical science, offering interpretations with solid bases.
Segle XX, revista catalana d’història also aims to contribute to strengthening the relationship between the university and society. The profile of the public it addresses is that which is part of the university world and the field of research, but it also wants to spread the word and give young researchers in training a space for participation.
Current Issue
SEGLE XX, revista catalana d'història is a scientific journal (peer reviewed), aimed at researchers in the social sciences. It has an annual frequency, multilingual (Spanish, Catalan, English, Italian and Portuguese) and with unrestricted access. The articles it publishes are original and the result of research and historiographical debates on the main phenomena, processes and actors of the past 20th century, from the field of all geographical and thematic areas of political and sociocultural history, both from a European and international perspective.
It is published annually by the Centre d'Estudis Històrics Internacionals de la Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in collaboration with the Fundació Cipriano García, and is part of the scientific journals of the UB.
